I never really liked Top Ride because unlike the rest of the game, it was really difficult to control.

Well I never had to much of a problem with them except for like 3 stages. Then again I almost always used the blue reverse whatever machine since I’m used to inverse controls.

Oops that’s supposed to be me.

Anyone know where I can find the Japanese version of the Kirby anime with English subs? Kissanime says it has the full series like this, but apparently there’s an issue with that series over there. Basically, it put some of the episodes in the wrong place and apparently still hasn’t fixed it.

Marx is probably my favorite Kirby villain.

His undead form, Marx Soul, in The True Arena from the remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra, is also pretty cool. I’m still not sure which is freakier: that bloodcurdling scream as Marx Soul rips in half and explodes, or the fact that he RIPS IN HALF AND EXPLODES.

I always figured Kirby sliced him in half and that’s what ended up doing him in.

You know I never found Marx that interesting as a villain though this fandom seems to love zero my personal favorite is Drawcia.

Yeah, after triple deluxe I kind of like Drawcia more, because the story is kind of sad.

I wonder if they could make dark star into a decent villain. He’s the only bad villain I’d say was in the series.

Well, Marx doesn’t have an official backstory, so I can understand where you’re coming from. From the perspective of motivation, backstory and the like, Marx is a rather flat villain.

Planet Robobot’s gonna be sick! Too bad we’ll have to wait til June 10th for its scheduled release.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is indeed amazing. I especially love all the classic music remixes (DARK CASTLE YEEEEEAAAAAH!) and the sheer awesomeness of the Robobot Armor, especially in the final boss fight where you merge with the Halberd and engage in a space shooter. The True Arena however is the toughest it’s ever been, and that’s saying something.

I agree wholeheartedly. I was able to get through the True Arena with Poison.

I’ve yet to beat the True Arena. Oddly enough, I beat the regular Arena with both Archer (which lasted til about halfway through before I ending up losing it) and Poison (which I pretty much just got lucky by obtaining it from the Roulette Copy Essence).
 
I tried beating the True Arena with the ESP ability because I heard that its vanishing move is the only thing that can block the one-hit KO lasers that form Star Dream Soul OS’s final attack after you deplete all its health, but it didn’t go very well (got to the Dedede Clone + D3 2.0). I might simply just go with Poison and just try to dodge the one-hit KO lasers normally. I hear the only one of them that’s particularly tricky to dodge is the last one, which fires from both the top and bottom so you have to float at just the right spot in between them to avoid them.
 
Still, I actually DID manage to get all 200 Stickers already.

ESP, if used properly, can get one through True Arena in 16 minutes at the most. I just went with Poison because I never realized its true potential until recently, and I suck at timing.

Yeah, the poison often lingers on the ground for several seconds when you do the dash attack and it continues to damage the boss, and then there’s the poison gas cloud attack you can do which also lingers for several seconds and continues to damage the boss.
 
Also, I never managed to beat Return to Dream Land’s True Arena. I 100% cleared both the Normal Mode and Extra Mode of that game, as well as beating the regular Arena, but I was never able to beat that game’s True Arena. Additionally, it only took me a couple months to beat Return to Dream Land’s Normal Mode, but due to not playing the game as much afterward (and having a lot of difficulty with certain sections, which was part of what led to me taking months-long breaks from the game several times), it took me nearly 3 years to beat and 100% clear the game’s Extra Mode. It has now been about 2 years since then and I’ve yet to beat the game’s True Arena.

Never hurts to give it a try. The final battle of Robobot’s True Arena really has that tragic feel to it when you realize you’re destroying what’s left of Haltmann’s soul…
