Life just rickrolled the fuck out of you. Sorry to see that.

My personality has undergone drastic changes in the past few years. I used to be very spiteful, fearful, fueled with hate, and I had radical and scary viewpoints of the world. As in, I privately supported abortions as a form of birth control, and I became angry at the thought of people having more than two children, as this would eventually cause overpopulation. I still have strong beliefs, but they are a lot more socially-acceptable than my old ones. I’m a lot more “chill” than I was during that time frame, and in fact, I am arguably too chill.
 
||I also had no empathy for people that I was not close to when I was even younger–no social skills at all. I was a terrible person at school, but I still listened to my parents. I was almost psychopathic at one point (6-8 years old, maybe). ||
 
I regret who I was, but I hate my laziness now.

I grew up thinking murder was acceptable.

There are possibly more than 6000 people have died in the devastating Indonesian earthquake and tsunami.

That is untrue. Even if you do not have close relationships (which you may have), many people would care personally about you if they knew you.

Okay, I would say something about your second sentence, but I would just be making this thread uncomfortable. It’s not about something that I lived through, but this subject in general is bothersome.

Speaking of natural disasters, somebody in my class mentioned that they would be traveling to Haiti, and a few other places, to get an experience of non-first world countries. Haiti is likely off of the list now, and I would assume that even more would be removed soon, if another disaster occurs.

||I believed that no crimes were bad as acts, and that they were only bad from why they were done. I believed stuff like “murders could be justified, but only under the right reasons”. Like if somebody was tortured, they were permitted to murder the torturer.
 
What bothers me about this now is not that I believed this, but that I could actually empathize with a lot of criminals. ||

Whenever it happens, which I am not expecting until a long time from now, species, including but not limited to humans, can repopulate to recover from a near-extinction. Nature fixes itself, which is why life still exists after all the time it was here.

Well, it’s not poetry right now. Though that is involved in this course…anyway, I have to explain a quote from John Ruskin’s “Modern Painters”. I don’t understand a word of it.

And that’s only the first thing I have to do. I have to discuss two more writers that I haven’t even read about yet. I have to get this done before I go to my math class later because by the time I come home there won’t be any time left.

Jinkies, I’m having chest pains and can’t drive so, of course, I spend the weekend shoved in the back seat of a van going all over the state because My father needs two own two pick up trucks.

Okay, it’s actually kind of disconcerting how many people assume I’m in my thirties or something. I’m only 22, dammit!
