TF are you talking about, as someone who's old enough to have been around when the internet first became a thing, plenty of sites on the web that allowed people to interact with each other had mod systems in place to ban people for saying something the site didn't like. It wasn't fascism, it wasn't stomping over people's freedoms, it was simply house rules.
Posting on a forum is like coming over someone's house; you piss off the host they can damn well kick you out. Every time you sign up to a forum, you agree to that forum's ToS. It's been like this since the early days of the internet and that hasn't changed much all these years.
