Tbf, just saying "X is used in Y" doesn't really mean much. Like, you can say water is used in lead-acid batteries; doesn't mean ingesting water is bad.
From what I found, although the effect of taurine is not entirely clear yet, taurine is naturally found in foods with protein, and the human body can produce it as well.
