Goku is in his Super Saiyan god form which well, Super Saiyan GOD. So it makes sense he might be able to use God moves.
 
ALSO, just because he wasn’t there for it this time doesn’t mean Beerus couldn’t have shown him off screen.

Yeah I like the anime’s Hakai more, because that’s literally what’s happening, complete deletion body and soul, it’s down right scary.

But until that’s explain it’s a blatant plot-hole, since Goku wouldn’t want to go with Beerus just to watch him effectively murder people, and that would be the only way Goku would see Beerus perform that technique

In the show it shows the one of the other God’s of destruction uses this move on a whole city.
 
And it wipes out everything including the buildings.
 
Which only tells me that this move works on anything. Not just people. And if that’s the case I could see Beerus using it on one of the planets in his home or some pillar. And explaining to Goku, menacingly at that, “Now imagine this pillar being you” or something along the lines.
 
Ooooor maybe he tried killing Goku with it because of him stealing some of his food. Cuz Beerus is extra like that!

I figured you’ve read the latest manga. Yes, rather than the deformed monster you see in the anime that gets bisected by Trunks, Zamasu unfuses, tries to fuse back, then gets cleaved by Trunks, only to somehow manage to become two fused Zamasus…
 
Then, Vegeta tries blowing up the two Zamasus after they knock around a battered Goku, which successfully reduces them to pieces, only to have each piece become yet another Zamasu (Think Majin Buu, but worse).
 
This was both interesting, yet infuriating for me.
 
Goku needs to press the damn button and call Zen-chan.

God I love the Yardrat uniform. That shit looks so cool to me.
 
I can’t wait to see the Yardrat in this tournament fight. We have no idea how strong these guys are. All we know is that they can do instant transmission and they taught Goku.
 
But outside of that, nothing of this race has ever been explored.

and than warping behind the enemy with instant transmission and cutting them in half. Like goddammit man.

Goku is that type of guy who might be fast at catching up with stuff, but struggles to explain that which comes naturally to him onto others.
 
See him training Gohan during the Cell games. Had trouble going seriously against him when sparring and even if he knew the power he had, the fact that during his fight with Cell he failed to realize it wasn’t as easy to get that out of him.

Once I get a good grasp on something I get use to it pretty quickly. Like typing fast for instance.

It’s more a term people use to the fact that Goku doesn’t have an original technique of his own.
 
Kamehameha/Onda Vital (not many will get this one): Roshi  
Kaio ken and Genkidama (fuck you ain’t calling that spirit bomb): Kaiosama  
Teleportation: Yardrat
 
Nevermind that the kamehameha is the signature technique of the turtle school so anyone under Roshi’s tutelage is bound to learn it regardless
 
Kaiosama was never able to use those two techniques
 
And the teleportation was a gift from the yardrats

What I like about it is you can color the outfits and mix pieces a bit, so you can come up with interesting outfits, it’s kinda fun
