There has to be a larger resolution than this. There is no way the artist sketched out such a high level of detail on such a small resolution. And yes even the Deviant Art 80 megabyte image is the same resolution as this image on derpibooru. Where can I get the full resolution?

I knew the artist had been cranking out these wonderful little vignettes for some time, but had no idea they were all part of one grand polyptych. I don’t think any other image does a better job at capturing the true spirit of FiM. Favorite of favorites.

Hate that trend, I had an artist I think Gerbuuro or something, she was Swedish if I am not mistaken and she used to make really lovely art of spyro and cynder and all of sudden one day she said she got over it and deleted everything, from speedpainting and animation from youtube to whole deviantart profile.
 
At least I kept a personal back up of the stuff in my storage, really liked the stuff.

If you’re having browser issues viewing this, I shudder to think what’d happen if you tried to open the 76MB PNG at the source.

Now this is how you do your last hurrah when moving on from a fandom, instead of the usual “DELETE EVERYTHING”-hissy fit.

Google chrome ran out of memory and couldn’t open the full size image….

And for shits and giggles I got myself wondering how long it might take me to do something like this, or a friend of mine made a comment that got me thinking. Assuming I spend on average ten hours a day on a single image and counting the bits and pieces in the description if I were to try my hand at something at this scale it’d be a 7 to 8 day affair, and that’s if I work 24/7 without going to work, sleeping, or eating.
 
And if I don’t try to cheat.

Oh! OH WOW. I didn’t recognize this until I looked at this close up. SO MANY of these pieces work so well on their own, I had no idea it was part of a much larger, and amazing image! This is gorgeous!
 
EDIT: Wow, how sad! Well, if one is going to do one last hurrah, this is the way to go!

Ah, so they are simply moving on from the fandom and doing MLP related art.
 
As far as I can tell, they may still watch the show itself, they simply want to move on to other things and even other fandoms as they develop their skills as an artist.
