Aside from background character names, the Derpy meme, and such, bronies still haven’t had influence over the story, every episodes, the direction, and stuff.

Perhaps, I don’t understand fans that think the staff have it out for them…
Maybe they took “Fame and Misfortune” too seriously/personally. In fact, so many did, that M.A. Larson regrets/hates that episode, and apologized to fans for it.
I thought the episode was kinda funny, and was more like a parody of the downside of being popular, (something some popular fans can relate to) rather then just poking the fandumb side of the fandom.

I don’t even think it’s egos, really. Some of them mumble about decisions that they say “seems like the writers tried to piss us off,” or “they keep pushing this character that they know we hate.” Less egotism and … I don’t know … lack of perspective?

I hear this all the time from fandom personalities, podcasters, etc. They seem to think MLP is made for “us,” and that Hasbro not only has a duty but a habit of taking input from “us.” It’d be laughable if it didn’t form the root of so much brony angst when things turned out to be completely different.

People do seem to forget where hasbro is actually looking. I even remember someone accusing them of ignoring the poll that had to lightning dust be the top pick for Reformation. the episode came out a month after

Heck, if Hasbro truely listened to Derpibooru, (or other brony sites, or fan-circles) the Equestria Girls movies would’ve been cancelled back in 2013, Twilicorn wouldn’t exist, Flurry Heart would be gone, Starlight would be given the death-penalty, and such.
(And yes, I remember said things were negitively received here back then… I was here.)

Yeah, but since they’ve had it pointed out so often that there is no ~le CalArts Style~, they need a new buzzword to label Thing They Hate, and this one also lets them imply that Thing They Hate is cheap or slapdash.

Nowadays syncro-vox is just used as a joke, (Like with Weird Al, or SpongeBob) not as a legit “animation process/shortcut.”

Yeah, back in the 1980s, & 1990s it was cheaper to do animation overseas, (especially in Japan) so alot of cartoons in thatera had what some nowadays call a “cheap anime style,” though regardless some still had impressive/art or animation despite the cheapness, and now ironically people miss that style.
Every decade seems to go trough a different style trend.
