Remember when Luna eclipsed came out, and people were saying her different appearance was a continuity error and that the writers didn’t care anymore?

I miss the days where every other post wasn’t fucking “Starligh’s a bad character” “change is bad” that. Sometimmes change has to happen and considering how divided the fandom’s gotten over the issue, I think it’s safe to say a lot of it comes down to whether you prefer Starbutt or Kitebutt playing a leading role in the series. Although they could both be the leading character, but I digress…

It’s also ironic because the commenters at Equestria Daily said that the continuity and constant changes is what prevents the show from falling into Simpsons territory…and yet those very changes are what’s pissing people off.

I don’t hate her either. The thing is that some Starlight defenders easily get offended which they respond to with drama. If anyone critizises Glimmer in any way they say it’s blind hate independable of the argument or if the person actually meant it like that so we lose the ability to even talk about Glimmer anymore if we ever had the ability in the first place.

Some complain about the drama for the fact the drama posts are being made, not because they are defenders.  
I for one have commented how some of the complaint have a logical flaw in them and I’m not a fan of Starlight nor do I hate her, but I sure as hell get sick of the drama.  
And I have noticed, a lot more of the drama is from the side that hate her.  
It’s not that both sides are not vocal, it;s that one side is MORE vocal.

We live in a time where there is Starlight drama drama (dramaception) and people constantly complain about Starlight drama so I think both sides have become about as vocal as one another although this might change in the future.

Anyway my point is that is is interesting that he used Equestria Girls where twilight basically stopped being the protagonist before Starlight even showed up

Except that’s a spinoff and I’m not sure Twilight was ever meant to be the main character, especially since she’d have to be in the human world quite often for that to even work.

Except, Twilight IS still the main character of the show, even when she isn’t the main focus of an episode. It’s been that way since season one.

I find it interesting that you used Equestria Girls for this where sunset shimmer basically replaced Twilight the protagonist

No, that’s not true. Both are vocal. Starlight defenders have recently been very vocal, as well. This is more a matter of not letting these things get to you as there is plenty other stuff in this fandom.

I think this picture is acceptable because it points to a shift in focus which I don’t conceive as particularly bad of an observation even tho the delivery might offend some people because OP has an opinion on the matter that disagrees with their own.
