Actually it does because as mentioned above it wasn’t a natural change it was a forced magical one, still unexplained still lazily thrown in at the last minute. If they had a natural cycle of this okay fine but they don’t it wasn’t natural at all and I really hate bringing the comics into this as they are not telling of the show but they have been around for thousands of years and never changed their default appearance except when they were mutilated by Celestia. Ignoring the comics Cadence talks of the changelings like they are a story that’s been passed down, so all this time and they never had a change naturally.
 
So I’d say the griffon analogy works well because it’s not a natural thing they always looked that way and were changed through magic we see it happen on screen and the blast destroys the top of the hive.

Well, some Bugs are known to go through Metamorphosis under the right conditions while cats and birds are not so comparing Griffons to changelings in this context Doesnt really work well.

It is when this show is usually well written and treats kids like they have a brain, even the elements were a plot device that the rules of the world established even if they used magic, this though, nothing it comes out of nowhere isn’t explained at all and pushed an already existing plot element out of the way. Show’s can go as crazy as they want but still follow established rules in the universe and this show is… was no different. It was also just lazy or if Hasbro forced it, sleazy.
 
This is like if some griffons showed up to ponyville and through the magic of wanting the ponies to be like them they all get turned into weird looking griffons. It’s not explained and it’s permanent, yeah it’s stupid no matter how you write it.

I didn’t thoroughly read the conversation before, but I sorta want to note that, from my experience, this show’s writing has had a dent in it since season 3. It seems to be biting off more than it can chew with most episodes, is afraid to address complex situations with believable (and thus also complex) solutions, and has “concluded” so many of its characters that there is no more room for growth.
 
I think we need new characters. A lot of new characters. Primary characters. With their own stories to tell. That get their own episodes to properly tell them and develop said characters. Hell, just make a new show.
 
This is why I like fics that revolve around OCs so much.

I’m stuck on mobile right now so trying to find the reference isn’t worth the effort, but Big Jim is on the record as being pissed off at people who sneeringly presume that little girls never EVAR just want to see stuff explode. I am fairly sure that adult fanboys weren’t the ones who made the various horrid Sailor Moon dubs so popular.

Though, Miyamoto made a sidescrolling game before Mario, and before Namco made “Pac-Land, it’s called “Excitebike.” (Not many know he made that one.)

I hear that whole “Walt was anti-semetic” stuff was bullcrap actually, People who knew him personally, including a guy who had a bad experience with him (so he’s not speaking out of favoritism) debunked that already, and Walt himself hired Jews to work for him, and even non-whites. (A young black animator said Walt looked at his works, and hired him after his secretary tried to get rid of him.) He wasn’t a saint, but not as “racist” as the media assumes.

It’s easy to say this is just bitching to you when it was with characters you don’t care about but I can guarantee if the main characters were completely changed in looks and personality in a completely unbelievable way forever like the changelings were you’d be “bitching” too.

I know what a rip off is is because I’ve been on the App Store a lot and watched YouTube to see popular games on teh App Store have bad and sometimes stupid versions of them that are ethier just really bad versoins that have same mechanics and really bad art style or it’s the same mechanics and types of art and stuff just renamed differently
