I can’t really say either went to Ponyville in those timelines. Both appeared to be somewhere in the Everfree (with the Nightmare Moon one definitely being in the Everfree, what with the castle and all). The episode explicitly states that the Rainboom was important in their future friendship; Starlight even got the idea of preventing it from happening through hearing Twilight’s lecture about how Cutie Marks are all magical ‘n’ stuff and that Twilight’s friends all became linked through the earning of theirs.
 
And yeah, I’m down with anything featuring Pinkie and her sisters being adorable together. I have a soft spot for family bonding like that.

well no, actually pinkie pie did go to ponyville in the chrysalis resistence timeline, and so did rainbow dash in the nightmare takeover timeline. they got all their cutie marks at approximately the same time, thanks to the rainboom, but there’s really no connection with the rainboom and the friendship of the six.

Show me Pinkie Pie perform a Sonic Rainboom under her own power and I’ll consider your theory. Otherwise, neither Twilight nor Pinkie would’ve ever gone to Ponyville in the first place.

Wow, several things occur to me here, one is that Fannie is actually impressed by Luna despite her acting like an ass earlier.
 
Second that Mascara is so casual with the princesses and I find that adorable.
 
Finally, third is that Pinkie is very lesbians when she’s drunk and the swingset innuendo is amazing XD Also I want to hug Moonglow’s butt…
