It’s a damn shame this doesn’t have more upvotes; it’s pretty badass.

I can see it now. Strip them down to the point of “Unconvincing Armor”, add the tag, show nipple bumps in the bikini breastplates, and BAM, suddenly everybody loves it.

Sometimes, just being a warrior wearing armor and looking tough should be enough =/

Likewise Cadance looks to be a FF-style paladin, also known as a ‘White Knight’. Essentially a more healing-focussed version of the warmage, they handle exclusively healing magic, but are able to wear heavy armor and weild swords and such without losing casting proficiency because of it.

Whereas Celestia looks to be a ‘Barrier Maiden’. Essentially, heavy armor, bigass weapon, and mainly defensive spells.

All in all, they’re all capable of heavy DPS when needed, and all have party-wide defensive abilities, making them a good ‘Siege’ party for long fights against bg enemies. this is the type of party you want to have during an Epic-level campaign in old-school D&D against the insanely powerful enemies like the Tarrasque.

acctually that’s what’s known as a ‘bladed staff’. Different from a standard staff, they’re commonly used by a type of spellcaster known as a ‘WarMage’. If you’ve plaed Final Fantasy before, a wrmage is, essentially, a Red Mage, albeit with bladed staves instead of swords. In short, she can be a healer and artillery whilst also being ble to defend herself, making her much more versatile and low-maintenance in a balanced warband like this’n.

@BP1, It seems to be a staff. And why would that be bad? Cele is the tank, with Cadance as DPS/Offtank, and NMM as caster/healer. All the bases are covered, and the enemy doesn’t know what hit them.

Battleaxe fits. I always thought that if Celestia is indeed powerful, then when she has an opportunity to cut loose without fear of collateral damage she’s more the berserker type.

Luna is clearly a battlemage. That’s not a melee weapon, it’s a staff to focus her magic.

So one griffin in the invading army turns to another, and says “WHY are we doing this, again?”

Hmm. Celestia never struck me as the sort of pony to go for a battleaxe. Always seemed more of a longsword type to me. Cadence with a rapier certainly works, and Nightmare Moon with… is that supposed to be a scythe? A scythe could certainly work, but that looks more ceremonial than martial.

what the hell is this thing that NMM/Luna is holding? She want to poke her enemies with this staff when Celestia and Cadance deal with others?
