That’s not teleportation Sonic was using. Chaos Control is used to control all reality, not just for teleportation.
According to the Sonic Wiki, Chaos Control is used to warp Time and Space, Teleport over large distances, Freezing Time, Traveling through time between dimensions and altering the Fabric of Reality.
So with Chaos Control Sonic can control REALITY meaning that everything is pretty much under his control. Sorry, but he’s got the Flash beat since Flash can’t control reality.
Dash: “Hah! That emerald’s not gonna help you Sonic! You need all 7 to transform into your Super form! This race’s as good as mine!”
Flash: “Oh, yeah? Not if I get there first!”
Sonic: “See you two slowpokes later! Chaos Control!” Disappears in a flash of white light.
Dash and Flash: “What the?! He’s gone!”
Later at the finish line…
Sonic: Eating a chili dog. “Oh, you two are finally here huh? Sorry, but I crossed the finish line 15 minutes ago so I win.”
The Flash is able to get to such a speed where he can get enough mass going to be able to punch somebody with an infinite amount of force, and Sonic is apparently fast enough to break the TIME barrier.
both can travel the world at super speeds and one has to be faster than the other since they exist with the same universe
