Hey, you remember when Lauren Faust leaving Merriweather Williams the aforementioned Derpygate Hearts and Hooves Day Twilight Sparkle having an unmentioned brother another alicorn being added to the show would be the harbinger of doom for both the show and the fandom…only for A Canterlot Wedding to be pretty well received all over? I don’t know how things were on Derpibooru because A) I was still on the venerable Ponibooru at the time, and B) I was being increasingly engulfed in the vortex of a massive internet backlash.
 
Funny how nowadays people look back upon that season fondly, despite at the time it being mired in one controversy or another.

Hiatus isn’t so bad. I think that first hiatus of Summer 2011 was actually the golden age of this fandom.

And Bioware should’ve only made Mass Effect 1, Blizzard should’ve ended Starcraft after Brood War, and Ken Levine should’ve only made one Bioshock game but he didn’t. Is there a point you’re trying to make?

Oh, really? Season 1? With its animation goofs, literally stating the moral for the audience at the end of every episode like an after-school special, and the limited animation giving the background ponies those empty, corpse-like stares?
