I’ve learned English for so long I now think about almost everything in English. Working for a while does help me think in my native language more often though. I literally speak to myself in English and speak to other people in Chinese. The only exception is swear words.

Here’s one: 幹你娘 (Gan ni nyang). It literally means “fuck your mother”.

(That’s actually more Taiwanese exclusive, but Taiwanese swear words usually pack a bigger punch.)
