I never saw the animated Warner Bros. version depicted in this image though. From what I hear, that one honestly wasn’t very good as an adaptation. Though I can’t remember: was that one released in theaters, or was it direct-to-video?
I don’t think we have any great ones, but “Powerhouse” is terrible. Got any you’d like to suggest? I’m all ears. We’ve got quite a few in the voting thread, so one more couldn’t hurt.

Like Arma said, I meant posting this picture. I don’t mess with the tags, and while I didn’t create the vote thread myself, I did promote it on every other name suggestion picture I could find the moment I became aware of it. I like to think I was being pretty fair about the whole thing. O.o
Also, I was making a one-punch man reference because i was referencing this pic:
your current filter.Erm, I think he means that he’s the one that posted this image, coming up with the name Lily Longsocks, not that he was the guy who untagged a bunch of pics. He didn’t try to impose Lily, on the contrary he created a poll to see what people liked the most.
That was you who untagged it? God damnit, why’d you have to go and do that? The debate was /settled/. You weren’t even a part of it!

How about we compromise and just say Lily’s superhero name is ‘Powerhouse’, once she joins the one-punch man heroes association? ^.~

But to be fair Snowflake does sound better than his official name and… Oh crap! I’m still in it too!
I actually didn’t join the fandom till after that happened I found out about the snowflake name awhile after I had already heard the name bulk biceps.

Agreed too, that’s why I only added Lily, never deleted Powerhouse. That’s just petty.
Who knows, maybe she’ll reapear on another episode and we’ll have a proper name (maybe even a voice?), and we will all unite in righteous anger about ruined headcannon appellations. Aaaah, remember when Swownflake was revealed to be named Bulk? Good times…

And I have a soft spot for Lily because I posted the pic comparing her to Pipi, so I can’t blame you for defending Powerhouse.
And I do see early pics where Powerhouse was deleted by background ponies, that’s not cool.

Well usually the names come from /mlp or a sort of mind hive in general, where a lot of people are interested in a BGP and suddenly a name takes the spotlight. Here there is not much interest in her, so it’s just a few people bickering about her name. Which also means neither of those names really hold much water.
You know what the mistake we made was? Usually we vote in the comments for what the name should be but it took so long to think up a name we didn’t have one this time and now we’re not sure what the name should be, we should have held the voting the same day we saw her.
Oh no, the ‘reject your reality’ line wasn’t a shot at you. You’ve been pretty reasonable. And as for all three of you, I’m salty because I fought long and hard for that name, and everyone else seemed to be a fan of it. Then someone went and untagged ‘Powerhouse’ from all the images and reverted it to ‘unnamed filly’ - and then a large group of people started suggesting other, random-ass names. I was pretty mad about it, but I was so exhausted from fighting all night for the name that I just gave up.
I’m back here because I’m seeing people tag it Powerhouse in other mediums. I came here to celebrate only to realize you guys are STILL ARGUING over this name.
Why can’t we just let a sleeping Powerhouse lie?

I tagged like 3 pics… Because I saw that it was being accepted as her name. RDash5001 tagged almost all of them after Lily had like 20 tags more.
But I don’t want to cause drama, maybe naming names is not the best approach.
In the end it seems we can’t agree on this, and I’m sorry if I seemed rude, so I guess we’ll just name her both until it settles down.
More fun than you that’s for sure I don’t feel the need to make a big deal about this I prefer Lily Longstockings and that’s just my opinion I’m not trying to present it as the one truth or force people to accept it I merely stated I will call her by that name rather than the other because I felt it sounds better and made more sense to me.
Maybe you should just call her Powerhouse and move on.
So, you readily accept a terrible name, because you can’t think of anything better. Well, that’s one way to do it.
But what I don’t get is your “I reject your reality and substitute my own!” line. Like, what’s so bad about it? It’s not like you’re doing much different by imposing a name on character that doesn’t have an official name. What’s so bad about a character having more than one “fan name” (which is something that happened before)?
She’s lifting a house. If she was so concerned about her power being known, she wouldn’t display it so recklessly. And I’m not sure ponies would notice anyway - she could just be claiming she was ‘energetic’ or something generic like that as well.
ALSO duly note that no, I looked at tag changes earlier and noticed that not only were there other people imposing Powerhouse, but you also imposed a whole lot of the Lily Longsocks - on names that already has Powerhouse on them, too.

No, but they ARE blatant as hell. There are plenty of other names that are also very blatant and I’m sure you’ll find many of them are terrible too. I can think of more than one instance where I went “Really? You named them THAT?”
The point is, until I see something that fulfills as many or more naming conventions as Powerhouse, I’m sticking firm in it.
Maybe you’re looking too broadly, and not seeing the important detail: in the episode her strength is a secret that only Diamond knows about. Hence it’s not something that’s obvious.
If her name was basically “Hi, I’m super strong” it would not be a secret worth blackmailing about. It’s not like Fluttershy tries to hide her shyness, RD her speed or Applejack her job to the apple family. It would be more around the lines of Fluttershy actually being name “FlutterSinger” or something.
So no, Powerhouse is not “THE way to go”. Actually if you look at the tag changes only a couple of people have imposed the name Powerhouse (RDash5001 and you) while Lily was being used by most people uploading her pic, sometimes alongside Powerhouse.
And I agree with the Billy Mays part, can’t help but hear his intro every time. Miss that guy…
None of them are as bad as “Powerhouse” (except for Filthy Rich, which is a terrible name too).
