Im not gung ho into the ship but the idea of their kids does interest me. (1/2)
True on the ‘magna-hoof’ grip we see regardless of type, though unicorn auras still have a range/versatility edge. Between the clawfeet and dragon-tails (where applicable), they’d have an easier time than usual (well, for non-pegasi) staying outta harm’s reach if stuck out in the Everfree. Or something.

Ponies do have pretty dexterous hooves to begin with. They’d probably have the added perk on being able to perch onto branches with more grip. Imagine one of them sleeping like a bat!
Good point re: variety, which we certainly see from teen-drake muzzles (and horns/hair/fins/etc…). The older version’s muzzle seems broad enough to avert poultry/Tweety Bird resemblance. Speaking of mix-and-match, I keep pondering the prospect of pone forehooves + dragon hindclaws-might make a hybrid’s dexterity issues that much more amusing to work around.
It was interesting to think about the various ways that the dragon and pony bodies would mix and match. The beak was something I hadn’t seen a lot and wanted to try, but the middle angle on it wasn’t strong enough now that I look at it again. That could be explained as the muzzle not grown enough for the more drastic curve but I’ll keep that in mind if I draw her again this young.
