You know what’s sad? Flash Sentry actually did something stupid—he ran into a door because he was too busy making googly eyes at Twilight.
Yes, they want a Gary Stu and don’t get why people actually like him as is and would just hate him if he was made into a Gary Stu.
Oh heavens no! They just don’t want him to do anything stupid or wrong, or for anything bad to happen to him unless it’s a problem for him to overcome, and they want him to save the day more often and have all the characters to frequently express how much they love him. I looks like these “Spike Fans” want to turn him into a colourless, generic good guy without any flaws who saves the day.
Basically, they want him to be Flash Sentry.
As long as you admit good things do happen to him and understand he’s no more a butt monkey the some of the ponies, you can think that if you want, just don’t act like he’s never given a chance to shine.
