This isn’t cannibalism. If she was a cannibal she would be eating another pony.
I’ve certainly never heard of them doing that, but I’d probably not add the tag. I feel it’s meant to describe things most people will recognize as horse-like.
It’s just that the characters have never been shown to do that.
Yeah animals and sometimes humans do that. Do you see a snake eating a mouse as dark?

Deers, cows and mooses ocassionally eat birds too. It looks like more as great salt deficiency.

That’s a baby chicken. I’ve heard rumors that sometimes horses will mistake it for an yellow apple rolling on the ground and eat it, but I never thought that the rumors would actually be true.
Poor baby chicken got it’s life cut short. What a way to go, eaten to death by an horse. Still it’s probably better than getting fatted up and being sent to the butcher to get slaughtered.
