Actually, it’s more a matter of personal preference. Artists draw them based on how cute they think they’ll look.

Most artists aren’t very good at scale. One of the few consistent things about fluffy ponies is that a pregnant dam is bloated to the point of immobility by the time that they give birth. Even with a high litter number, the foals should be much larger at even at birth.

I miss the show so much

Why are fluffy pony foals always drawn so tiny? Even newborn kittens appear to be bigger than fluffy foals. If these are litterbox-trained, they’re probably at least a few weeks old. How are they so tiny?
