Heh. That was another thing I like about Transformer names. If the name wasn’t referring to their appearance (e.g. Goldbug, Silverbolt), it was their personality (e.g. Rampage, Dreadwind), their powers (e.g. Tailgate, Thundercracker), alternate mode (e.g. Astrotrain, Snapdragon) or function (e.g. Defensor, Doublespy/Punch/Counterpunch).
 
Wonder how many people still use, “Talk a blue streak,” though? I think I’ve only ever heard someone go, “He talks a blue streak a mile wide” once in my entire life.

I’d say “Yet no one asks about Bluestreak.”, but I don’t actually know enough about whether anyone actually asks about Bluestreak or not to really know if that’s actually a viable joke.

Yeah, see, that’s the kind of naming gag I can get behind. The original Silverbolt was a Concorde, and the Beast Wars Silverbolt was a silver wolf/eagle hybrid. Naturally if someone named Silverbolt was gold, someone’d ask about it.

Though if you remember, the Lickety Split that already is in Ponyville is (probably) male.
 
I read a fanfic with a pony named Silverbolt in it. There was a running gag where ponies kept asking her why she was named that when she was clearly gold coloured & not in the slightest bit silver.
 
I personally once named a pony Hailstorm for something.

Yeah, that’s one of them. I know nowadays Hasbro is a lot more careful about making sure names don’t crossover (e.g. the Insecticon Bombshell and the G.I.Joe operative Bombshell, another Joe codenamed Shockwave and the Decepticon), but stuff like that.
 
I’m kind of curious to see how people’d react to a pony named Sinnertwin, Skullgrin or Slayride. If the TFs can get LicketySplit, which in all honesty sounds like she’d fit in great in Ponyville, why not ponies named Hot Spot, Silverbolt or Dash Tackle?

What about that one fan comic series someone did where Thuderlane’s brother Rumble is the son of Soundwave from The Transformers? & also Rumble is a robot in it.

Nowadays, if you used the name Twilight, you’d be looking at a big-ass Decepticon warship.

That seems a bit of a petty reason to downvote this considering that this is not that show & a picture with a similar premise on this site got a positive rating when it was clearly made of two images taken straight out of their respective shows. _{(Though maybe rescue bots was completely new to the point of having an unknown quality at the time or something? I don’t know.)}

Rescue Bots is not very good. It’s one of the most disliked TF franchises by most of the TF fan community.

So what exactly is wrong with this? The art’s decent & the crossover makes some amount of sense.
