Manhattan, but wasn’t he mortal that gained omnipotence (or something close enough) then drifted away from humanity altogether? so he’s the opposite of rose who is almost divine but reached levels of mortalhood/humanity

Pearl saw Rose as a living idol, and seeing Greg - a normal human - come into their lives was not wanted in the least.
 
Even then, Rose’s initial interactions with Greg was more along the lines of seeing him as a sort of pet. After Greg tried to Fuse with Rose and their spat as a result, she came to realize that humans have complex emotions just as Gems do.
 
but Pearl held and still holds animosity towards Greg for taking Rose from them. While Amethyst saw Rose as mother figure, saving her from loneliness in the Kindergarden, and Garnet… well, how she saw Rose is still unknown, but with Pearl… er, Sapphire? Explain
 
Even when training Connie and attempting to ingrain her way of the sword, I would think she might have seen Connie as Greg trying to take Steven/Rose.

true this would basically be twilight sparkle if celestia died also while I’m at it rose is better then celestia rose is basically THOR one of the few god like beings you can relate to meanwhile celestia is basically just a kid friendly doctor manhatten(spelled right?)

the scary thing with pearl is she might have passed the love stage and is now in obsession territory. specifically choosing to see rose in only a positive light and giving importance only to their relationship.
 
the line that amethyst dropped that she hates pearl when she ‘gets like this’ in rose scabbard is quite saddening.

pearl in my opinion is basically if they taken a more realistic approach to twilight sparkle sort of blue beetle to nite owl example in many ways if you think about it pearl love to rose is basically would be the next logical step to the twilight/celestia friendship, plus I know its kind of debatable but she brings the logic to the team in a similar way to twilight, pearl is also in my mind what twilight would be thousands of years down the road dealing with the issue of immortality with most of her friends gone(pearl probably lost lots of friends during the war)
