Kind of. But G5 ponies are not as thick. And there are a bunch of other differences between the two (like the story, not everypony wearing a tiara, etc.).

i’m not digging the 3d look. it looks like a knock off of mlp.

also i swear they designed these to look similar to how the toys typically are modeled.
 
not bad, but not good either. still neutral. for me the story will be what determines if i like it or not.
