Wider streets and a culture that has no problem with regular personal space invasion would go a ways to explaining it.
 
Doors would be a real problem, especially around busier buildings. Nobody wants to wait a full minute for the lamia blocking the door can finally get their tail out of the way. Snakes can climb decently well, maybe they could have things like fireman’s poles outside of buildings to help them move a higher volume in and out more easily?

this is true. it make one wonder what how lamia architecture looks like. How does a species that averages ~55ft long build their cities to accommodate this?

I don’t think there’s a single room that could hold all of these guys at the same time. Even a convention hall would struggle to deal with this.
 
Really makes you wonder how lamias deal with sleeping and just moving around in their day-to-day lives. Imagine working in an office where you have to slither over three coworkers to get to your desk.
