Appledash and Fluttercord are not canon, Fluttercord is kind of… implied? But not outright confirmed, and Appledash is just, not canon.

First of all, fucking Appledash is the LASIEST AND MOST STEREOTYPICAL LGBTQ+ COUPLE I’VE SEEN IN MY WHOLE FUCKING LIFE. They could’ve mixed it up and did Startrix, or something random like Pinkie Pie and some random mare, but NO. They decided to use the two tomboy ponies, as if I haven’t seen that 8 million places before. Second, Cheesie Pie is just dumb, and so is Fluttercord. Third, Twilight and Spike’s designs suck ass. 4th, its annoying to see Rarity with wrinkles. Someone who cares about beauty and fashion WOULD AVOID HAVING WRINKLES. 5th, we didn’t even get to see a fucking Starburst wedding. 6th, Sunburst’s beard is too damn long. 7th, this episode should’ve just been scrapped to begin with.

I’m going to bring this over from somewhere else.
 
After having seen episodes 24,25,26 I don’t see this “objectively is bad” debauchery people speak of that is so horrible that Jim Miller needed to have death threats and such about.
 
What was wrong with the ending? Really?
 
The last episode was about changing friendships and implying things have to move on, change, and evolve. It was literally a perfect goodbye. They loosely implied 1 ship, and gave imagination to more without slapping a hand and saying ’no’.
 
Most people didn’t want the villains to be reformed, and they weren’t, they were defeated and there’s been room for their theoretical return. Cozy Glow was ’executed’ on screen; that’s awesome; we’ve moved forward with an unsuspecting villainous child which is extremely rare in any form of entertainment. Children are evil; give them the right time, place, and capacity and they will exercise it.
 
Starlight didn’t turn into an Alicorn, which was to my knowledge the biggest fear.
 
“It was rushed”. The crew spent a great time and energy animating and inserting a wide number of characters and angles and brand new, never-to-be-used-again templates. The entire buildup arc was nearly 10 episodes from Season 8. That is definitive proof it was not rushed; that is not an opinion.
 
The upset rile of emotions that I see isn’t about crushing headcanons, we’ve seen that a lot before. It’s about not confirming the individual ones people specifically wanted. In that, Hasbro is damned if they do, damned if they don’t. And a lot of it is still reading in too much with it.
 
Those upset, be honest with yourselves, if it ended at the crowning ceremony, you’d be just as angry and livid they didn’t specifically confirm what you wanted to be true.
 
It’s a shame the show’s team feels like it’s got to play a bunch of politics and tiptoe around what it does while trying to please an unusual audience for a show never intended for it. Of course there’s a kernel of truth creators should give ear to it’s audience, but fans expecting them to be enslaved to their whims is just pitiful.
 
God knows I’ve interacted with worse fandoms, but come on, can’t we be better than that?

To me, the finale had things I liked and things I didn’t like. I wish the things that I didn’t like never happened but luckily, I can easily counter these things by coming up with new headcanons. So to me, Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow eventually got their redemptions and happy endings shortly after Twilight’s coronation.

You know, OP, there’s a whole got-dang thread to discuss the leaked episodes in.

I wonder what the point of making posts like this is. Okay, you liked it and are upset people don’t. Have you perhaps taken a moment to consider their viewpoints and grievances they have with the finale? Weighed their points and analyzed the episode to see if they have some merit instead of just dismissing them as cavemen who don’t like thing?
 
“The finale wasn’t that good, you just like it because you have no standards.” See how dumb and abrasive this entirely unsubstantiated claim is? This is the flipside of what you’re saying. “It’s good/bad because I say it is, you’re just a bunch of babies.” Utterly meaningless.

The whole thing just felt rushed. And Grogar being not real all along is one heck of a letdown. The epilogue especially feels really slapdash put together like the team was running on low budget.

No, the finale was objectively bad.

No, it was bad. The burning of certain head-canons and salting the Earth after was just adding insult to injury. You’re just hearing more people whine about that probably because it’s a much more personal hurt for the individual.

I honestly don’t think it’s “Bad” I can agree there. But it’s still a big kind of annoying list of things I don’t really like, which is still frustrating. Like I could accept it if it was one or two things but it’s like they went down the checklist for things I didn’t want to see.
