If they wanted to add Discord in EQG, they would already done it by now. Fluttershy in EQG is underaged so there was no point in teasing her with an adult character. And if she’s canon with him in FiM they will also not give her any other new boyfriend in Equestria Girls to not ruin her FiM version that ended up with Discord. So unironically you should hope for Disocshy to get canon in FiM because that would make Fluttershy in Equestria Girls safe from shipping.

The problem is as always with any major fandom and with any major ships. 30% want it canon, 30% hate it and 40% doesnt care either way. It happened at the end of Avatar, end of Korra, end of Naruto, end of Bleach, end of Voltron and end of Adventure Time. With MLP the main most popular ships are RariJack, LyraBon, Sparity and alas also DiscoShy. So we’re going to see dramas around them throughout this season and especially after it ends. I think Sparity caused Big Jim to leave twitter around S5 or S6.

the writers support the friendship between the characters since they are all created by the same lauren faust since I left the project. they do not accept demands or ideas from anyone, They did not give ‘‘likes’’ of what you think, just friendship before. they support that.
