That won’t happen because the bigger dA artists and fananimators would rather make more C&D Reference or Joke stuff with Button instead to remind us of what Hasbro did to Jan.
 
Only people keeping him alive are literatly shippers on dA and the clop artists who draw Hardcore Buttoncest and SweetieMash porn on Derpibooru/Inkbunny

There needs to be a follow-up where she happily reunites with Button, symbolizing how he’s been kept alive through fanart and fanfics.
