First of all, a meme image? Really? Second, a single episode does not define her entire character. “Once upon a Zeppelin”, “A Flurry of Emotions”, and “Shadow Play” all show sides are her that are not “Starlight’s Mom”.

That image alone proves that you have no idea what you’re talking about or just don’t pay attention, or you only cherry pick what you want to acknowledge just have an excuse to complain.
 
Starlight didn’t “save the day again”, the most she did is act as the voice of reason at certain points. Not to mention the fact that at the end it wasn’t her who freed Stygian from the Pony of Shadows, but the entire team of elements.
 
As for movie Twilight; She had to endure her home being invaded, then being hunted down across Equestria… and then their supposed only hope refusing to help them, so it kind of makes sense that she’d be desperate at this point.
 
Nothing that justifies her actions though.

Using one episode as an excuse to spell out Twilight’s entire character is unfair in the grand scheme of things, or are we just going to ignore episodes like Once Upon A Zeppelin, Shadow Play, and the Movie?

in the disney princess sense, maybe. in the MLP sense, princesses are powerful leaders who have to protect their world and get shit done, which makes the pony version infinitely more “princessy”

First, Princess Twilight’s character is much more than simply “Starlight’s Mom”. I recommend you watch “Once Upon a Zeppelin”. Second, keep in mind that Princess Twilight has had significantly more time to develop and round out her character than her EQG counterpart has. A lot of the growth Sci-Twi is experiencing now Princess Twilight has already covered.

This Twilight seems more princessy than the other one too.
