Fair enough, but that might not matter much if an episode’s plot might require the characters to stay underwater for more than a few minutes at a time. If you’re going under the sea, for instance, it doesn’t really matter how good a swimmer you are if you can’t breathe underwater or hold your breath for an hour or more.

I’m perfectly fine with seaponies appearing in S8…
 
…just as long as none of the mane six get turned into them in any episodes the seaponies appear in; the show has clearly shown us that ponies can swim underwater just fine without a species swap, just like us humans.

Perhaps their og home was destroyed by storm king, so the only home they probably have now is under the sea.

Well,it seems that seaponies aren’t a one time thing element for the movie.  
Those who love them are going to have a blast after seeing this.

Huh. There are going to be seaponies in Season 8, then? This actually makes me rather happy. Given what we’ve seen in the preview material I was more than a bit worried that they were all going to turn back into hippogriffs at the end of the movie, but if this is true then that seems less likely to happen. Nothing’s written in stone, to be sure, but all the same.
