Spike is hardly “anthro”. He’s bipedal but he’s not all that humanoid. The same with a lot of bipedal creatures on the show.

There has been “anthro” in the show, but people are complaining about this new stuff like it was never around in the show.

Again, as I said, anthro takes on a different meaning. I mean, how many people were complaining that EqG was “anthro” when it was first announced. I bet very little because that’s not really how the word is used here despite the fact that those characters are pretty anthropomorphic.
 
The characters people are complaining about do, in fact, fit in what we consider anthro here on derpibooru.  
While I think the complaints are silly saying things like the ponies being anthro and whatnot as a defense to be pretty weak.

Next up we should get Azu Aduba and Michael Pena’s characters

Avians/birds are known for having a puffed breast. Although they are using it in a clever way to represent cleavage, it’s normally where the Crop is or is merely a ton of fluff.

She is probably a harpy (crossed with a parrot).  
Her name fits mythology and her head feathers the real bird (she is just more colorful).
 
If she would be a hippogryph it would be weird that she appears to walk on two legs.

My point was about how people act like anthro has never been around with MLP.

Honestly I see them on FurAffinity so much I just kinda lump them in, they’re not really anthro but they are as furry as anything else that was listed.
