I see this as a pretty happy image. I mean, we all die, but to live long and go out in comfort able to have a friendly chat with a pal and things generally in order, it’s not so bad.
(Not that I’m not aware of the pains, loss of facutlies and nightmares that go with a “natural” death.)
Every ending is a beginning, AJ. Inevitability sucks, but that’s why you have to make the most out of life… and hope there’s a continuation after the first one ends.
Who knows? You may just wake back up at your house, ready for the next day, back in your youthful body fifty or sixty years prior.
@Lucky Shot
She is just incredibly long lived, like most alicorns. And she is going to spend the majority of that long life watching every friend she’s ever made or will make die long before she gets a turn. She’ll watch the great-grandchildren of her friends die of old age, several times over, and still not be middle aged yet. Won’t that be grand?
Man, right in the feels. It’s a testament to tjpones’ skill that he can do really goofy comics, but also pull off sadder stuff like this. I hope he continues this comic here, as it has a whole lot of potentia. It’d be sad to see it be left on a cliffhanger (for want of a better word).
