I like Starlight but it’s literally opposite my dude

NCP was a good episode… but i think Background Pony #8A82 is right it gave trixie very little respect. and i hope writer now they fuck up a bit many Trixie fan waiting for Trixie will be 100% forgiven ..
 
Unfortunately, it seems that many want Trixie will be a Sunset copy before it happens….

This is objectively true.
 
Yes, as a part of a magician’s act they need to play up the mystery and amazement, but rather than delight and astound the gathered crowd with actual tricks, she just boasted about her past deeds. When hecklers started up, she called them out and started trading insults. The most impressive ability she actually demonstrated was the storm manipulation to spin Rainbow Dash around and zap her. Other than that she telekinetically manipulated a rope and messed up Rarity’s hair. Big deal. She has slightly above-average magical talent.
 

 
A good character or a good person? I can agree with the former, but up until NSP there was no evidence of the latter.  

 
Trixie set herself up for the treatment she got. Until NSP, she was basically a one-dimensional bluster factory. There was no deeper character behind that for the show to treat like shit, because all she was is what you saw on the surface: a rude and abrasive braggart.
 

 
What bizarro world did you come from? I think there’s just as many or more people unsatisfied with Starlight or who outright dislike her than are happy with her current status. For the most part they’re mature enough to move on.

Ok then, you see Starlight as an incongruous cad. I disagree, and personally find her to be an enjoyable good character. You disagree and that’s fine too. I think the show treated them both her and Trixie fairly, though you don’t seem to think that way. That leads me to believe that you are just hold a different opinion and in no way warrants a call into your character. It intrigues me off how this fandom loves certain things and hates other things; a natural occurrence since fandoms are populated with people with differing tastes and outlooks. The show is the show and the points of praise and criticism both are within the differing eyes of the differing beholders; a occurrence to well know that mostly nobody bats an eye.
 
I personally really like NSC.

Up until NSP I never really saw the appeal of Trixie. She was petty, a liar, and kind of a dick. And it wasn’t all a part of her stage act, either. This episode gave us some insight into how she ended up that way.
