You guys all realize that the show clearly displayed how the time travelers aren’t affected by the changes in history right? After all, in paradox logic, preventing anything ever removes the need to prevent it which means it doesn’t get prevented at all?
@drumpowa
So basically, Starlight pulls the same thing as Lysandre tried to do in Pokémon Y (i.e., kill every living thing just to achieve her ideals).
Oooooor, because she realizes that if she can’t erase cutie marks from existence, it would be better for all life to cease to exist, even if it means she ceases as well. Basically Nightmare Moon’s plan but with the destruction of reality and the multiverse.
Reminds me of how Bat-mite caused Batman TBATB to be cancelled so that they’d make a new, darker incarnation, but they ended up making Batgirl series instead. And he got himself erased of since he was too goofy for it anyway.
“Which would mean she could never exist to kill Faust, and paradox.”
If Starlight had come to kill Faust and managed to shoot her, that would cross Starlight’s own existence out. However, if Startlight disappeared then who killed Faust? If Faust wasn’t around in the future to create the show and make Starlight a character then how could she have gone back in time when Faust..
