Back in the ponibooru days, around the S1-S2 hiatus, there was a tumblr blog that had Flutters as a muslim, I’m guessing because the artist was one. Of course, that landed on ponibooru around the peak of jackarunda and random /b/tards spamming “why is twilight a nigger”, so it instantly caught the attraction of that crowd of special snowflakes. And as these things go, some artists saw the reaction and made more of it as a “hah, take that, you dirty ~bronies~!”, despite most of the shitposters being just shitposters, and some other artists probably just saw it being more popular after that and decided to stick with it.

Perhpas this is not my cup of tea. I like the art for how it was made, coloring is good and the lines are clean, not to mention the body is proportional for its size. but the idea of a muslim shy? Well lets just say that perhaps all people have different taste and opinions and I like Fluttershy to be more westernized.

I’m honestly impressed, this one is far more well-made than the other Islamashy drawings I’ve seen. Kudos for that, artist (who also just so happens to be the OP).

As a raised Catholic Christian I have to say that this art looks rather good, I bet Fluttershy’s a Sufi Muslim.
