Twilight has made shields but since this is FFI and not FFIII she works better as a Black Mage, in FFIII she would be a Sage which can use both forms of magic but has lousy physical abilities (yep Twilight is one of the most over powered classes)

Shouldn’t Twilight be a black mage, if we’re going by FFI classes? She’s never used anything that can be called healing magic, and she has lousy physical abilities.
 
Rarity is probable the better fit for red mage. She’s never used magic in a fight, but she had decent physical abilities to go with her utility magic.
