Sounds like poor compiling on Shout! Factory's part. Then again, they might have had no choice but to work with whatever Hasbro gave them which included the edited version of episode for some reason.

But if they were going to make the "juice" version the official one than why didn't they do the same thing with *Top Bolt*?
