Sorry, he’s right. It was cycling between pervy, and innocent stuff, LONG before the DWM debacle started. But hey, don’t let that stop your obvious confirmation bias, and eagerness to overlook what doesn’t fit your agenda.

In the early days just about every APM comic was an awkward joke about bodily fluids (back on Ponibooru I would jokingly refer to APM as “Ask Cumlestia”). I think the comics have actually gotten a lot more enjoyable after they started focusing on more silly and cute stuff, and of course by now JJ has the art style perfected (go back and look at some of his first Molestia drawings and you’ll see what I mean).

I never found it stale. But then, I’m not applying the scales of Grand Opera or The Great Works of Mandkind to “Ask Molestia.” It’s not Beethoven or Raphael, it’s something fun to look at. Don’t over analyze it, fellows.

Well the whole molestia meme was played out years ago jj was really the only think keeping it alive and even then it was starting to run out of gas
 
the only real problem now is that without the sex joke mo well isn’t all that interesting a character
 
right now jj can either fall right back or grow the character

I personally like how the blog has changed over the years. JJ has learned to show restraint in the jokes (ex. Luna was constantly molested in the past, now she’s only in the tease territory).
 
The characters are more lively and interesting now and don’t feel too much like punch-lines to jokes.

Huh. Am I the only one that thinks that the molestia tumblr has been getting quite a bit better since the whole DWM thing? It had gotten rather stale, but the recent updates have been pretty good.
