did you draw the window scene in the trapezoid shaped window frame, or did you draw it separately, then clipped it to the shape of the frame? it might have been unconscious if the former. the effect on fluttershy I think is because she’s not foreshortened, as her body would be obscuring her hind legs more for instance, if she were flying at the angle her wings are at. since the rear hooves are smaller, but the body isn’t foreshortened, it looks like she’s just being compressed vertically, by the distortion of the window frame.

it would probably also help if the window sill had a lip slightly outside the window. the lower edge ends abruptly, a bit too soon I think, so it looks like the edge doesn’t extend into the background, and rather the background’s just a flat image seated on top of it.

it’s a really interesting effect actually, coming from only a few tiny details. if I block fluttershy and the lower edge of the window from sight with my adorable little paws, then it doesn’t look flat to me at all.

it’s not. I never distorted proportions of any picture. It’s canon mlp scenery taken from screenshot and completely modified to change the direction of lighting, so every house is repainted. Aspect ratio was never modified, I don’t stretch anything.
The effect of cartoon and fantasy world was intended, but I’m sure this is not what you mean

The scenery outside the window looks oddly flat, like it’s a painting. It affects Fluttershy pretty badly. Is it a separate picture, resized and skewed to fit the window frame? That would cause the flattening effect. If so, it might look better if it were kept at its full aspect ratio, even though it would clip off a bit of the corners.

Tracy, on the other hand, is just incredibly attractive.

Ah okay. That’s even more impressive. Far faster than I could ever have done it in even if I had the dedication to not stop after a few hours.
