Twilight Sparkle’s Journal:
August 30th 20XX
Umm.. To whomever would be reading this journal, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Twilight Sparkle, I am fifteen years old and currently a student in high school. I always like to take notes in this journal, it helps me remain neat and organized, I’ve been writing in journals since i was little. Anyways, more about myself, my parents, my little brother Spike and I just moved in to Canterlot City in California. You know, because my dad switched jobs. His new company here makes more money. In terms of family, there is also my big brother Shining, my big sister Luna and my oldest sister Celeste. However, Shining and Luna are attending college and Celeste is living her own life at the moment. I always admired Celeste, we never fought as siblings. She was like a mentor to me, my parents told me that I got a lot my behavior from her. To change the subject, tomorrow is also my first day at a new school. I can’t really predict how it’s going to go, my last school didn’t really make a big impression on me. I can’t help it, I am not a really social person. My parents sometimes get on my case about that, they always try to get me some friends, they say it’s a healthy thing for me. I’m not sure, I guess because I’d rather spend my time in a library rather than spending my time with others. Anyways, I’m going to head to bed, I’ll write more when I finish school

The sun begins to rise and another day is ready to start. The day was August 31st, the first day of the new school year. It was 6:30 AM. school starts at 8:00 sharp. Twilight raced to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast. After eating her bowl of hot oatmeal, Twilight dashed out of the house and walked to school. She was sure to bring a map of the school and she was sure to bring all her school supplies. Canterlot High School was perhaps one of the best schools in the state, people moved from outside the country to get the best education that the school promises to offer.
As Twilight walked into the building, she was in awe at how surprisingly good the school was. The walls were painted in semi bright colors, along with several murals that were painted by students.
“Alright, so first period is down the hall. I’ll be sure to keep note of that.” Twilight noted to herself as she walked up to her locker. While she was unlocking the lock for her locker, she felt someone breathing down her neck.
“Excuse me?” Twilight said surprised as she turned the other direction.
“You must be another nerd! Doesn’t this school already have enough annoying bookworms?”
It was another high school girl, around the same age as her. She had blond hair, makeup, and the attitude of a bratty child. The other girl had a playful tone to her voice, Twilight could tell that the girl was trying to tease her. However, before Twilight realized what the girl was talking about, the school bell rang.
“Probably just a drama queen.” Twilight muttered to herself as she walked to her first period class. It was math, not Twilight’s best class, but she was decently skilled at it. Arriving in class, she took her seat with her textbook in hand. However, she didn’t expect that the exact same blond girl was also attending the class as well, and she sat next to Twilight. Twlight maintained a proper posture, reached out her hand and spoke in a calm voice.
“Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle.”
“Kelly Sanders.” The blond girl replied. “Don’t talk to me.”
“Something wrong?” Twilight said concerned.
“I just don’t like you.” Kelly replied to Twilight as she got out her textbook.
“E-excuse me?”
Kelly didn’t reply to Twilight, as the teacher at the same moment walked into the room. The entire class shifted their attention to the teacher’s boring lecture, nothing much was discussed besides the class rules and stuff of that sort. Before she realized it, first period was over. It was time to head to second period.
“What was the deal with Kelly?” Twilight thought to herself as she arrived to second period. Unfortunately, Kelly was also in Twilight’s second period class as well. This time Kelly sat down on the seat behind Twilight. “Just ignore her.” Twilight thought to herself as she was trying to pay attention. However, she was distracted as she could hear Kelly talking to her friends.
“Excuse me. Can you please stop talking?” Twilight whispered.
Twilight turned back to pay attention to the class, but Kelly and friends were still annoyingly whispering.
PTHOO!
Twilight screamed. She was hit by something, she started shivering…she felt something crawling down her neck Was it sweat? She found a wet piece of paper near her, it was a spitball.
PTHOO!
Twilight once again looked behind her, Kelly and her friends were laughing. They were throwing spitballs at her. Twilight unusually had trouble paying attention, she has been bullied before back in primary school, but she never thought that this would happen to her in high school.
The girl next to Twilight tapped her on the shoulder. The girl had a strong build, along with long golden hair and a brown cowboy hat.
“Is that girl botherin ya?” She whispered. “She is always causin trouble to others.”
“Let’s try to talk when I’m not talking,” the teacher quipped, slightly irritated.
“If ya want, we can talk after class. They don’t want us hollerin in here.” The cowgirl whispered as Kelly scoffed.
PTHOO!
At the moment, Twilight ducked down, and the spitball landed on the floor. Kelly was visibly nervous as the teacher sat the spitball. “Whoever threw that is going to a detention coming to them,” the teacher said irritated. Kelly gulped as she hid in her seat, she didn’t throw another spitball the rest of the period.
“I wish she got caught.” Twilight thought to herself.
