For me, and this is just me because of who I am, I think the most important thing is that you want to be creative and create things that others will enjoy.
So far, you’ve uploaded a bunch of images that weren’t taken down, and some of them seem to be fairly popular. But the latest image you uploaded got deleted and that surprised you - you weren’t expecting that.
And running into those kinds of barriers can be very difficult when someone is trying to find their voice in art.
It’s not that your image wasn’t good - it’s that the gallery you tried to show it in didn’t accept it.
That’s not a statement of the quality of your art, only the quality of the match between what you created and where you tried to show it.
There’s a lot of sites that don’t do that kind of “Will we host this?” step when you post things. Places like Facebook or Twitter or any of the *Chans would be very happy to host that image, without question.
So, that’s why I’m suggesting that if you want to make those kinds of images, you will find a much more accepting and welcoming audience on some other sites.
And when you make things that are more firmly “Pony”, then this is a place where those images have been well received, too.
And my main concern is that because you asked to have something hosted here and it was rejected you will not pursue your interests with art - you should keep making art. At whatever level you are able to, you should find a way to express yourself and if that includes showing the art to others then you should present those images where they will be welcomed.
That doesn’t mean everything you create isn’t welcome here - just some of it isn’t. And that just means you need to explore your audience and your “market” and the available options for showing your creations so that you find a better fit.
Does that make any sense? Or help explain better what’s going on here?
