[NSFW] Are female nipples without breasts in crotch area still crotchboobs?

I was talking entirely about equine udders in that comment, to be fair, but, sure, I guess. I’m probably one of few people on staff who would prefer to look at anything else but boobs all day. ¬_¬

Oh, this is a fun one. A bit confusing, but I think I’ve sorted through it now.
 
Looks like we have “crotchboobs” for everything with nipples down there and “teats” for the ones that aren’t hugely bulbous. My main problem with this setup is the judgement call involved on size; it’d be a lot cleaner to have a nipples-only separation with main terminology and defer judgement calls to the other tags, ones which mention size.  
Going to the dictionary, teat refers to nipples themselves.
 
Thus, I agree with cheezedoodle’s solution: “teats” should be the superset of nipples on the crotch and “crotchboobs” should be for when there’s a bulbous protrusion. Crotchboobs should imply teats.
 
This has the downside of shuffling about tags that are used by a lot of users. I think, however, that most users will not notice a significant difference as most users are interested in crotchboobs for the bulbous shape; only those who care more about the existence of the nipples instead will really be affected (note that the ratio of users who watch crotchboobs to those who watch teats is currently 6 to 1). It may be a good idea to make some announcement at least in the forums on this, it’s unlikely many will notice it, but it’ll provide a summary of the changes if anyone’s confused about what’s going on with the tags.

I’m against changing teats definition again. Yes we can say there aren’t many who use it. But the current 275 people that do, they would need to begin using an entirely new term and tagging images as well. Seems like it would create more problems trying to switch around the tags than to just make a new one for the newly requested specification.

Hmmm, sounds like users care quite a bit about the “teats” tag, I wasn’t aware it had been made due to a protracted past decision. That ship has certainly sailed, and now we can’t easily correct its semantic messup. Grumble grumble.
 
I would like a “crotch nipples” tag to cover nipples on the crotch specifically…but that doesn’t solve the problem at hand of wanting only nipples.  
If we did go with a tag of “nipples only”, we could at least apply it broadly to both boobs and crotchboobs. Could be useful for certain situations. It’s not great with the awkward asymmetry with “delicious flat chest”, but it seems like it’s the only option because of the inertia of past decisions here.

We really need a more descriptive tag for that, like reasonably-sized crotchboobs. Way too many impossibly large crotchboobs images are tagged with teats.

So… will this just stay unresolved?

Inaction is often preferable to bad action. I’ll eventually have to make a decision on this, but I’d like more input from other moderators first; I’ll poke them about it.

Possibly creating a new tag for the small pool of images, and while that’s there take the time to work out if the major tag needs to be revised entirely.
 
Short term: There’s a tag people can use to filter/search.  
Long Term: Relatively small number of images to update tags on down the road if new definition is decided no. While the major tag will have roughly the same amount of work now as it will later.

Apparently, nothing needs to be done, because “delicious flat crotch” is a tag.

That sounds actually the most reasonable and how it should be. The delicious flat crotch is just so redundantly stupid.  
Thought, I actually think that teat should be reserved for the realistic looking and “nipple only” kind of pictures. Quit frankly the tastes between teats and crotchboobs seems to vary quite a lot.
 
I would help retag, but I filter the most clop because of ponuts, and realistic horse genitalia. But funny enough, I don’t mind the ridiculous large crotchboobs that much and I like the OC Milky Way.

I think the difference between the two, is that Teats can also apply to the more realistically sized “crotchboobs”. Where there is some curvature and bulge.  
While Delicious Flat Crotch is for when it’s perfectly flat.

Doesn’t seem harmful to leave it for the people who want it. We do have Delicious flat chest as a tag, and I guess some people wanted a crotch version. Doesn’t really hurt anything.
