Implying for Egophiliac's "Moonstuck" OCs

It would make things incredibly easier if the OCs’ names implied their race, as follows:

That would require that OC names identify one and only one pony.

Uhhh… not sure if I understand your line of thinking (or whatever it’s called). I wouldn’t request the implying if the names didn’t refer to singular characters. :|

Adding implications for things that are not one-to-one relationships just introduces problems, especially when people are being asked to do the work and we don’t have a clear process, so I’m just spit-balling about the possible problems this could introduce.
 
Basically, if another OC comes along with the same name, then we’ll need to make sure that whomever modifies the description remembers to remove all the implications.
 
It also means that if people become dependent on the implications, and another OC comes along with the same name, then people have an expected behavior from the system which will no longer exist.
 
To others on staff: do we have existing examples of OCs with implications, and if so have they worked well with the existing processes and use cases?

I think most implications should be fine, seeing as half those names are already exclusively for Egophiliac’s characters, and many OCs imply common things.

So, uh… is that a “yes”?
