Hmm…. Now that’s a complicated little mess. I’m not sure where it started that Starry Eyes was getting tagged Mercury, but he was and so now I gotta straighten all this out.
 
Since Mercury is the closest we have for a canonical name for the Crystal messenger pony, I’m thinking of making that her set name, and removing it from the images with Starry Eyes. Since that is his name given by the mlp wiki.
 
As for Cinnabar and Quicksilver: Since those were both tags added by 1 person at a time years ago, I’m thinking of just completely dropping those from the character, no alias, remove them from the images. Allowing them to be used for other characters in the future.
 
Gonna give it a bit for any other input before I go to work on those tags.

I also think, while she doesn’t an official name (unless you count either Showcase and/or Spectacle as her name), the same could be done for Dandy Lion being de-aliased from Trixie’s Mother or it could be used as an actual name for her until she gets a solid name.

Wait until more common names for them have gained more popularity and risen to the top of the pile.
