I agree. Sometimes people upload art with their OCs and you can’t even tell if they are male or female… Like here: >>1632684. No source, no other images with those characters.

Should Princess Skyla still be considered canon and have a canon tag when it was really no more than April’s fool joke and one toy that didn’t sell well? she never made it to the show?

How, exactly, is the unicorn twilight tag generally used on this site? I would assume that at the very least it would be warranted to use it in situations where a picture is explicitly set in an AU where someone else became an alicorn or alicorn transformations never happened for whatever reason, so that Twilight being a unicorn is an intentional point, yes?

Insufficiently! She’s been an Alicorn longer than she was a Unicorn, by rights Alicorn Twilight should be tagged twilight sparkle and Unicorn Twilight should also have unicorn twilight added; the only reason it’s backrumpward is because the anti-Alicorn snowflakes screamed so hard about it back in the day.

Hmm. I never understood why this site puts so much effort in tagging what’s been a clear minority of images as the default state, while the vast majority of Twilight’s depictions (including every screencap and official image released since five years ago, and every one that’s going to come along until G5 is going to start) as the unusual situation.

The scissors tag have images of tribadism that keeps getting added to it. Should the former be moved to “scissors (object)” and just alias the 2 terms, or make a description saying “For the sexual act, see tribadism”?

Maybe, but if somebody want’s to type in “scissoring” they will be met only with this:  
 
Maybe this suggestion should show also the aliased tag here? I mean, you type “scissor…”, it finds that there is “scissoring” aliased to “tribadism” so it would show tribadism (1214) at the first place and thus make tagging easier?

And my point stands, “tribadism” with over 1000 image should be displayed instead, to encourage using proper tags.

Yeah, It shows 0 because of being aliased.  
Maybe that could use a UI touch-up. Not sure how myself. You could always try a suggestion in the Feature Suggestion thread..
 
As for the Scissors tag. I’m not too happy at the thought of renaming an object tag into x(object). It was understandable enough with Flashlight due to shipping name. But having nicknames for sex acts also take precedence feels too far. To me at least.
 
I think it may just be best to do regular cleanup of the tag.  
I can try adding a description to the Scissors tag too. Though people rarely read that stuff. ¬_¬

While they’re obvs nude, there’s no visible genitalia/it’s just featureless crotch and that would usually only have questionable. But tag editing is disabled so if a staff member could please change the rating I’d be thankful.
