I honestly think that’s got some cleverness to it.

Some people still add the tag “equestria girls-ified” to pics with Starlight Glimmer. She doesn’t need it, because it become official EqG character.

Noticed that the dilated pupils tag tends to be misused instead of shrunken pupils and it seems that it’s been occuring more frequently in more recent uploads. Maybe it should get a description?  
I cleaned it up a bit, but it’s likely that there are more mistagged images that are hidden by my filter, so I’d appreciate if anyone would like to finish the cleanup.

On >>1416402 it’s quite clear that Ember is masturbating. Hand between the legs and blushing. It was marked Implied Masturbation and Questionable. I removed the implied and was about to add masturbation and bump the rating up, when I noticed the person who removed those the previous time and added the implied was a staff member. So I came here to ask. Why is this image considered “implied masturbation” when that’s quite clearly what’s going on? Do we need to actually see the fingers on/around/in the genitalia for it to actually count without the implied being appended onto it?

Seems like an edge case that can go either way, I’d say questionable could be enough since it’s implied (heavily) but explicit works too.

I personally think that she was sleeping and not masturbating at all, but because I knew people wouldn’t see it that way just because of the position of her arm that I tagged it implied masturbation and questionable (I would personally tag it suggestive if I could disregard the artist’s intent to make it an edge case, and a character blushing, smiling, and sleeping at the same time is a common way of drawing “cute” sleeping, such as >>1231827).

You think some people would randomly move their arms in such a specific spot while sleeping? And she’s laying flat on her back. Also note the position of her body.  
I disagree that it’s an edge case. To me it clearly looks like she’s masturbating.

She’s also laying down on the bed the wrong way, which isn’t to say no one sleeps like that, but it would make more sense the other way if she were sleeping.

None of his other art is ambiguous in the same way as >>1416402. It’s all either definitely explicit or definitely questionable.

I have. If it’s random, it could be anywhere, including aforementioned “specific spot”.

That’s another way in why I feel the artist was trying to make it ambiguous, but it’s not uncommon enough to use it as a reason for it to be explicitly masturbation.
 
I forgot to mention this, but I would also be fine with the image tagged explicit just as long as it’s tagged implied masturbation because even if there’s touching of the genitals going on, I don’t think it’s of a sexual nature.

I think it makes it less obvious because the artist just suddenly decided to throw out an ambiguously rated image when said artist had always directly shown what was happening in the past. For all we know, she’s just posing for a photo shoot and covering her crotch in a coy or provocative way (like >>946178 or >>1410174).

What I’ve basically been saying is that we can’t actually see what she’s doing, so we have to infer that she’s masturbating; because we have to infer that she’s masturbating, it’s implied masturbation, but if we could actually see her masturbating directly, it’s masturbation. In both scenarios, both should be tagged explicit according to the tag guidelines.
