General Tag Discussion

Spoiler:s09e14 should be implied by The Last Laugh and “The Last Laugh” should be the main tag that That’s a Laugh is aliased into. It’s causing confusion like this and causing some images to slip through the spoiler filter.

“The Last Laugh” -> “Spoiler:s09e14” (implication)

Given the show’s (MLP) characters should probably take precedence, perhaps a kevin (ed, edd, and eddy) tag would be a good idea?

I really don’t know, why the tag Equestria guys implies tag male.
 
It’s wrong, because there are EqG males, that become females, like this: >>1939929 or >>1901726  
The implication should be removed. Equestria Guys is for all EqG characters that are R63.

That makes no sense. I think the tag meaning should change instead of trying to justify a bad joke.

Something along the lines of “For female Equestria Girls characters turned male” or such?

I mean I’d argue it should be allowed on any male EQG character, but yeah I always thought it was for just female to male and I feel like at some point, a few people decided to change that meaning. So the implications are name are fine, the taggers are not.

For it to work with any male EqG character, it’d need to drop the R63 implication.

No, Equestria Guys is R63 version of Equestria Girls as a whole. That means all EqG characters, men and women. You need to drop “male” implication.

Why do ‘doctor horse’ and ‘doctor stable’ imply each other? Should one be aliased to the other, or is there a reason to use one without the other?

Since when? Cause the first several times I looked at the tag, it was just for female to male. Give me an actual reason why it should be for both and when this change happened as I’m pretty sure it was not the original meaning.
 
In fact the tag has no definition so either of us could be just as correct.

Well, it is an old image, and iirc, bedroom eyes were considered suggestive, and the text implies it as such.

Screencaps at the time were considered to not be able to have bedroom eyes, and under a more current idea of tagging it, I’d still say it doesn’t qualify; people are way too eager to tag anything not fully open bedroom eyes.  
Anyways, as to the text…no I don’t think that ever would’ve been Suggestive…it’s implied shipping, not implied sex. While Wingbeat did remove Safe, it was most likely during a pass over double-rated images, and he tended to take an approach of go with the highest that’s there, not actually deciding on the validity of it.
 
Looking at the tag changes, it was actually uploaded as Safe but of course someone came along with their mind deep in the gutter.

That seems more like lidded eyes than bedroom eyes but I guess it’s kind of hard to tell…

If Rule 63 tag refers all characters genderswapped, then Equestria Guys tag should refer to all Equestria Girls characters genderswapped, it’s rather simple.
 
Since the begginning of the tag’s existence it has only Equestria Girls and Rule 63 implications, only 4 months ago someone added “male” implication despite the fact, that there are pictures of females only, the oldest one’s tag changes: https://derpibooru.org/images/328440/tag_changes.
 
The only thing that doesn’t have any sense is this change.

The problem is, the tag name is confusing and not self-explanatory.

Descriptions don’t solve all issues. I’m also probably the only one that doesn’t like this tag having that definition so it’ll take even more effort to sway my opinion.

Just remove the implication “male” from Equestria Guys tag and problem will be solved.
 
“Equestria Guys” is “Equestria Girls”, but in opposite gender of all characters like it always should be.

But I don’t like chaaaaaaaange. Fine I’ll remove it, but I think the tag name and a proper definition and/or maybe a reworking is needed in the future.
