Alias "OC: Grace Harmony" to "OC:Grace Harmoney"

The reason I feel that the existing OC:Grace Harmony tag should be aliased is that the character’s name is consistently spelt in Shieltar’s comic and on his website and other galleries as “Grace Harmoney”. Surely this should mean that Harmoney is the canonical/correct spelling of her name?

I’m certainly not the one who holds a decision on this but I’m not sure if that’s possible to do.
 
I don’t know if there are already alisaded OC names, but what if someone wants to use as a name “Grace Harmony” for their OC, while being a completely different character from the comic? If that person would want to upload their OC on Derpibooru, the tag name would redirect to the aliased name.
 
In this particular case, I guess it should be changed one by one the tag by “Grace Harmoney”

Are you certain that’s not a typo? The earliest mention I can find of Grace’s family name has it spelled “Harmony” >>181787
 
I’m not saying the author can’t have changed their mind since that very first comic, but before anyone undergoes a troublesome task of changing the OC tag it would be a good idea to try and verify that’s what’s happened.

Consider my concern rescinded. It looks like all of Grace and her father’s tags for the comic are spelled “Harmoney” along with Grace’s character page. That would have to be a lot of typos.

The earliest comics (the 1st book at least) has a lot of variation in both style and writing. Later pages more consistently use Harmoney, and the links to character profile pages all use Harmoney for Grace and the Professor. Also, Harmoney is just a more distinctive…
 
…but I get the argument about if someone else creates an OC called Grace Harmony, it would be bad to have it aliased to another character with a similar name. There’s currently 150 uploads with Grace Harmony’s tag, going through and manually retagging shouldn’t be a very onerous task, if permission were given first of course.

I would suggest checking with the artist, and if they agree a temporary alias can be used to move the tags, then the alias can be destroyed. But I’d start with asking the artist, and perhaps looking to see if it’s possible to discover the source of the errant spelling, for example, is this a change? Or is someone uploading them with the wrong tag? If it’s the former, problem solved. But if it’s the later the problem will persist.

Like I said, the artist lists the characters on his own website with the surname spelt as Harmoney; “Harmony” as the surname only appeared in the very first few pages, but a little while later it changed to “Harmoney” and has been consistently that way since (with all the page tags and mentions in dialogue using the -ey ending instead).
