It is the 42nd millennium. The Primarch of the ultramarines has been revived, but dark times approach the Imperium. Abbadon’s 13th black crusade has destroyed Cadia, chaos closes in, orks WAAAAAAGH! throughout the Imperium, and the enemies of ponykind are closing in on the light.

Subsector Moorland contains multiple planets. Half of them are under siege by the forces of chaos. The emperor’s children and the iron warriors have slaughtered billions. On the world of Sentia, a large amount of imperial forces gather to counter-attack. Imperial guard, space marines, imperial knights, and more. There have even been rumors of the Inquisition being involved.

42nd because that’s when the 8th edition of 40k takes place. And ‘may’ because the sex is optional, depending on the choices made by anyone participating. The gore is guaranteed, since it’s Warhammer.

The 23rd Regiment of the Armageddon steel legion is one of the many imperial forces assembled on the world of Sentia. It falls under the command of General Shining Armor.

The General was in the command tent of the Steel Legion, looking over reconnaissance reports. While he did have more experience fighting Orks, he was no stranger to fighting Chaos Space Marines. The Fall Of Cadia had got his blood boiling, and now he wanted nothing more than to make the forces of Chaos pay for every Guardsman they killed on Cadia. A bold task indeed, but defeating the Emperor’s Children and the Iron Warriors seemed like a good place to start. But he was no fool, he knew these Traitor Legions possessed better armor, better weapons, and Empress only knew what else. He’d have to rely on his allies if he wanted to secure victory for the Imperium.

By “allies” he is referring to the Eldar that have allied themselves with the Imperium.

Shining Armor didn’t know wether to be relieved or anxious, it wasn’t uncommon for the Eldar to provide assistance to the enemies of their enemies, but it also wasn’t uncommon for them to betray them.
 
Shining Armor: Understood. Will you be joining us Lord Commissar?

He puts his hand on the grip of his holstered, engraved bolt pistol, for emphasis.

Shining Armor: “Let’s be off then.”  
The general puts his gear on, and straps his rebreather over his mouth. While the chances of the enemy using gas based weapons was small, Steel Legionnaires were so used to their rebreathers that they felt almost naked in battle without them. Besides, one can never be too careful in battle.

Valkyries are waiting to transport the steel legionnaires to the transports in orbit. Said transports would take them, and the other imperial guard regiments to the world of Zion.

It took awhile to amass all the infantry and their equipment, and even longer to load up the Chimeras and tanks into other transports. The true strength of the Steel Legion was how mechanized their army was.

The Lord Commissar is inspecting his own equipment for battle during the flight. When the ships arrive, the guardsmen can see the signs off battle even from orbit.

If one was perceptive enough, they could see an eldar ship among the imperial vessels assembled in orbit of the planet. It is time to report to the valkyries. The General will decide the tactics taken by his regiment, but his orders are to liberate the imperial world classified as civilized.
