To Brighter Things (Pony Only, NSFW, Private)

Mythos laughs, saying simply, “You got me for now, though there will always be another day.” The grey stallion knew that he would most enjoy having Candy living with him, more he was glad the filly was already growing comfortable with him. \
 
Feeling the carriage begin to slow, Mythos turns to Faye and says, “Seems we have just about arrive.” Turning to Candy and considering the two of them he adds with a sly grin, “I hope you like your new home.”

Faye slowly lifted her head as she opened her eyes “ do you have rooms for us though, or will we have to sleep on the floor

“You will have your own rooms,” Mythos assures, smiling as he offers, “I could if you like even have your rooms next to each other.” One thing he did not add, is that Faye’s room would be fairly close to his.
 
The carriage stopped, letting each of them know that their desrnation has been reached. The grey unicorn looked to Faye and Candy before saying, “We have arrived at your new home.” Mythos opens the door for the two to step out.

The young filly then giggled as she dashed out the carriage nearly knocking Faye over “I hope it’s made of candy drops, and the walls made out of chocolate!”
 
Faye then rolled her eyes with a small giggle as she slowly got up and stepped out of the carriage with a soft sigh “You and your imagination “

Mythos stepped out of the carriage himself, giving a nod of his head to the driver as he stepped down. An older earth pony, the grey stallion gives him a pat on the back and says, “Go inside and get warm Turnpike, ask Sweet Drop to get you some hot chocolate and prepare some for three more.”
 
The stallion nods before heading to the house, which Candy and Faye would see was quiet large indeed with three floors. Perhaps sadly for the filly though it was not made of sweets and Mythos says, “We can see about getting something sweet to eat inside and a warming cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows.”
 
There was many colored lights that helped offer a cheery and inviting feel to the large house with decorations for Hearth’s Warming.

Faye sat as she looked at the large house astonished , to see so many colors “these are beautiful!” She continued to look around her eyes full of wonder and curiosity like a little filly “I never seen so many bright lights “
 
Candy was by her side as she sat close to Faye as she too was amazed, her tail wagging quite fast

“Well what do you expect,” Mythos says with a chuckle at the astonishment of the mare in filly, before continuing, “It is the month of Hearth’s Warming. Such lights are commonly seen upon the houses around about.”
 
“A time for giving, songs and music, festivities, and the warmth of home,” with aglow of his horn, the grey unicorn revealed to Faye and Candy softly glowing figured or scenes of color and illusion showing what he meant on such things.

Faye then sighed as she giggled and walked to the doorway waiting for Mythos and candy”Hurry I’m getting cold and I really don’t like it

The three hurried inside, the house revealing the wealth in which Mythos must possess as well a suprising number of servants. Notably, all but one, was that each of them were mares or fillies of different ages with all having either a beauty, attractiveness, or cuteness about them playing to their strengths in appearance.
 
The grey unicorn smalls, before getting the attention of those there and saying, “Everyone, we have new members of our little family. I hope you treat them well.” One mare steps forward, perhaps the oldest there, and offers a smile to the two before a respectful bow of her head to Mythos.

Faye then looked around as she looked at Mythos with a sunrise expression “Did you rescue all of them? “ she continued to look around her tail slowly wagging
 
“holy Cow! That’s alot if ponies, I wonder how much the pay is… “
 
//just a heads up your going to see have a “moment “

“Most of them yes,” Mythos says with a chuckle, but makes note of a few exceptions with the words, “Some were on staff when my parents owned the house though.” It was a pretty large staff, perhaps about forty total though only maybe between a third or a half were on shift at any given moment, so those in the room did not show quite how many.
 
To the answer of the other question a couple mares giggle before one says, “Better then most, though the real benefit is how we are treated.” Others laugh as well at the words, with many smiles as pleasantries are made, many saying hello to Faye and Candy, a few saying how cute the filly was, or complimenting the dark furred pegasus.

*Faye then looked around as she softly smiled and giggle and looked at Mythos”it’s wonderful here… “ she then sat down looking around
 
Candy was soon tackled by some young ones as she giggled and laughed

The first mare, one who looked old enough to be Faye’s mother, speaks softly as she says, “My name is Merry Blossom. Welcome to the Grey House. Master Grey will take care of you, for as long as you wish to stay.” The mare, very much motherly in demeanor, nuzzles the pegasus.
 
Looking to Candy though she laughs merrily before walking up to the filly and saying warmly, “What is your name little on?” The other fillies step back a bit to let the mare through, as if differing to her as if suggesting perhaps she might actually be head of the staff. Mythos watches with a chuckle, watching the mare meet with the filly.

Faye then gently nuzzled her back as she closed her eyes, somehow… she felt like this mare had a motherly sense to her and it made her feel comfortable “It’s very nice to meet you… I’m Faye”
 
“I’m candy the biggest and baddest filly in all of equestria you mess with me and I cut you” she joked

Merry places a hoof to her chest, a bit shocked by the filly’s words. Others were suprised as well, some giggled or laugh, though most watch quietly for what the mare says in reply.
 
After a moment to calm herself, Merry smiles and says warmly with a soft laugh, “There’s no need to be big or bad here little one, nor will there be a need to cut anypony. Humor though, is appreciated.”
 
The mare understand that Candy was just joking, and by her words everyone returned to smiling and offering greetings.
 
Mythos moves next to Faye saying in a teasing tone, amused by the situation, “Seems little Candy has left an impression.”

Faye was too shocked Ashe gently sighed”That’s candy swirl for you … watch …  
In the future she will lead some cult “
 
Candy then looked up at her and giggled “I’ll try to be as funny as I can”

“I’m sure everything will work out,” Mythos says in a confidant tone, “there are fillies here that have had a lot worse than Candy has.” Really most of those here could help Faye and the filly adjust, especially Merry.
 
“I’m glad to hear, my dear,” Merry says softly with a warm smile. If you the fillies asked if Candy would like to play a game, making a few suggestions.
 
The lone stallion in the room, an older unicorn with a mane and tail white with age as well a large mustache, steps forward to Mythos asking, “Stall I get some tea for Miss Darkblood and yourself?”
 
“Yes, such would be a joy,” Came the reply from the grey unicorn, before offers, “This is Somber Tone, the family butler and the head of house when I am away.”
 
The butler offers a bow of his head to Mythos, before turning to the mare and asking, “Greetings, perhaps I may run a bath for you later?”

Faye then continued to smile as she gave a small nod “a bath sounds nice” Faye then looked at Mythos with a small smile “it’s fantastic here…” she then placed a hoof on her chin “Tea sounds nice please would you give me some”

The butler nods saying, “As you wish,” going to get the tea and after which he would run the bath. Merry would shoo off the other mares but allow the fillies to play as they are with Candy there with them.
 
Mythos says, with a warm smile, “I try to make life as enjoyable as possible here. More, those here are all paid for the work they do.” The grey unicorn felt everything was playing out splendidly.

She gave a small s I’ll and nodded , her wings gently moving as she giggled “I see that and it’s amazing oh what you did

“Well I try, and lets just say there are benefits for myself,” Mythos says with a chuckle, giving a smile to one of the mares looking towards the two causing her to giggle before being hurried out of the room by Merry. The grey unicorn looks back to Faye and says, “Maybe we can even have Candy start her education at some point or be home schooled like many of the fillies.”

She then huffed and looked at the small foal, as she shuffled her hoofs with a small sigh “I suppose so … though I don’t expect her to pay attention” the mare got up as she didn’t know what to do

Mythos takes a different tactic, “It would allow her to make some friends, and be with those her own age.” Admittedly, it was largely because he felt it was important for the filly to learn about the world outside of the life she had know previously or just that of her new home.
 
Looking to Faye he asks, “Do either of you even know of the Royal Sisters, Their Highnesses Princess Celestia and Princess Luna?” More, something that brought a smile to his face, he often helped with the teaching by telling the fillies of Equestrian history using his skills as an illusionist and storyteller.

She gave a small nod continuing to look at candy giving a small sigh , her tail slowly wagging as she looked up at him “Yes we do but I do not favor them , though i apologize, I have little to no interest in them, neither does candy swir”.

Like she would say back off from him

“I should offer that Princess Celestia and her sister are doing everything they can to crack down in the slave trade with in Canterlot as well other major cities,” Mythos wasn’t sure what may bring the Faye to say she doesn’t favor either Princess, but he wanted to nip in the flank the consideration that they were not actually trying to stop the suffering and cruelty.
 
He adds, his expression serious though his time calm, “It is through there help that many of us are even able to rescue slaves, especially goals and little ones.” It may be possible that wasn’t the issue at all, and that he was making an incorrect assumption, but he had to be sure.
 
//Well that may it may not work. Mythos makes it very clear he doesn’t want any fighting between members of his staff, something Merry helps enforce. If any mare has issue with another mare, they are to work it out with each other.
 
More, I have any my head that just really common understanding get at least for the first month or so the great unicorn always gives the most attention to any newcomers. We could have there be a bit of drama, but I wouldn’t want to get too out of hoof.
