Project 2025 also explicitly states that “The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned.” How exactly does the Trump Administration and Heritage Foundation intend to enforce that kind of law? Is this to say that, because I just so happen to have a few “spicy” files stashed away on my phone, I’m suddenly at risk of imprisonment? What do they mean by producers and distributors in this case?

Yes, it will. Project 2025 includes basically everything that Trump has been campaigning on. Trump preferred to call i Agenda 47. It’s the same shit. The people who helped write it said that Trump was doing the right thing by publicly distancing himself from it. They’re getting exactly what they want.

Well, maybe he can comment about it. The thing is, even if he knows about what the potential problems are, he can’t see into the future. If the Trump Administration decides they want the site down, I have a hard time seeing a way that it isn’t coming down. The mod team can only do so much.

The best we can hope for is that they don’t try to somehow try to retroactively punish people for doing something that had already been legal. Right now, porn is allowed, so they shouldn’t have to worry about the fact that they worked for the site in the past once these laws go into effect.

About what? He seems to have Japanese characters in his profile, so is it about their porn censorship laws? I know hentai always needs to pixelate porn in order to follow the country’s laws. I feel like America will be more strict than that if they get what they want, but we’ll see.

I understand the logic of why Derpibooru is safe and I really hope it is. But at the same time, the Heritage Foundation is now well aware of furries and if anything is tried against them, it could very well bleed over to bronies. Plus, Trump’s favorite country Russia has already went after a brony convention on the claim that it was “gay propaganda”. So it wouldn’t be much of a surprise that someone could plant the idea in his head to go after R34 and other forms of internet porn.
This thread also assumes that Agenda 47 doesn’t exist, which is Trump’s watered down version of Project 2025. Something even Trump’s staffers admit to meshing well with. So a lot of what Trump wants is what P2025 wants, and the latter was even written specifically with him in mind, even if he doesn’t, or hasn’t, officially endorsed it.

Probably not good enough. If you’re outside of America or want to try a VPN, the site’s likely to still be accessible in some way. I’m not sure how much of the staff is located in the US, but the ones that aren’t will probably keep the site running.

The rest of us, who try to get here regardless, may be able to, but we’d be breaking the law. Not sure what the punishment will be. It might be like internet piracy where it’s illegal but we all do it and the people who host the stuff tend to be the ones at more legal risk.

no, if you read project 2025 more carefully you will see that with “porn” they mean gay people. They focus on schools and libraries, they haven’t mentioned Pornhub at all. Porn companies are pretty powerful so they will be left alone. When they say “ban porn” what they mean is making Florida’s ‘don’t say gay’ bills the law nation wide.
