The searchbox at the top of each page will no longer autocorrect/spellcheck on mobile phones. No more “flutter say” or random spaces after typing “oc:”, “artist:”, etc.

A “report conversation” button has been added to private messages. This allows you to report spammy/rule violating PMs to the site staff directly, instead of having to report a user’s profile and including a link to the conversation.
Please be aware that if you report a conversation, the entirety of that conversation will be available to site staff.
The “report conversation” will only appear at the top of each conversation, not below each messages like with comments and forum posts.

The “delete” and “unsubscribe” links in notifications have been replaced with buttons. Additionally, the buttons are in a fixed position, as opposed to the “delete” button just being at the end. This makes the appearance of notifications more consistent, and should help accidentally pressing the “unsubscribe” button. (Implemented by Meow and Joey)

The scraper (aka. the “Fetch” button) has been updated to support multiple images per link, letting you select from all images found on a URL by clicking the one you want to upload. Additionally, Twitter statuses and Tumblr text & link posts can now be used with it.
For Twitter statuses the scraper will always get the highest possible quality image from Twitter’s servers. With this the confusion of using PNGs that are actually just JPGs re-saved as PNGs should be eliminated. Everyone who uploads from Twitter is now strongly advised to use the scraper to prevent any confusion.
For Tumblr text posts the scraper will find any images uploaded through Tumblr’s editor and allow you to upload any of them. Images inserted using other methods will not be detected by the scraper, for those you will need to use direct links.
Tumblr link posts are treated as if you entered the link within the post into the scraper, which means that the link in the post must be supported by the scraper in order for the Fetch button to work.
The error messages have also been improved where possible. When fetching Twitter or Tumblr posts you should get more descriptive error messages telling you why the scraper could not find any images if it’s an otherwise valid link.
Finally, the Tag API (/tags/tagname.json) now includes a list of aliases for the specific tag.

Two changes were implemented regarding badges:
- Personal badges, which are unique to individual users (such as OC badges given to Patreon supporters) will now appear at the front of each user’s list of badges so that they’ll be more visible.
- Due to space constraints, the there’s a limit to how many badges will be shown on the “Metabar” on images next to the uploader’s name. Excess badges will be displayed in a dropdown menu.

Metabar and some other changes were reverted due to user feedback.
Mobile and limited desktop layouts should transition much smoother now due to some reworking of the metabar and header.
Tag pages also now have implied by under an expandable section.
There’s also been a lot of minor refactoring to solve some longstanding concerns with code quality. This may get a greater focus after some other UI work is done.

Reworked post/comment UI a bit. Less words, completely consistent between the two, some icons. Should look a bit nicer while helping us moderators not accidentally hit stick topic instead of post.

Uploader credit moved to top left below the main image metabar. Next step will be adding artist credit, which will occupy the left and push uploader credit to the right when present.

I made some changes to our icons. Galleries now has a more accurate icon, edit now uses fa-edit instead of fa-pencil, and icons in general may look a tad different due to a Font Awesome version upgrade. If any are missing, make sure to report them etc.
Additionally, description is now narrow again. Tags are also narrow.
This change is to remove some bizarre conditional logic we had that made everything narrow in centered layout (which looked nice), but some things wide in non-centered (which doesn’t look all that nice).

Further changes were made with the image metabar, so it should now wrap in three portions. This creates a smoother transition to mobile, helping out widths in between mobile and desktop by not wrapping just a few buttons at a time.

Uploader credit and upload timestamp moved to description header to provide a better grouping of information. Image size and type info migrated up to near download/view buttons (also better grouping of information). Also some minor tweaks to the look of the description area in general.
Ad box moved from above description to belowdescriptionall image information to keep most image information from being interrupted by it as well.

New layout with the search bar centered in the space between home area and profile area is experimental. Icon on home button is not. Header should otherwise behave like before, other deviations from normal are likely CSS bugs due to the rework.

Fixed an issue where in certain conditions, certain livestreams listed on our streaming directory would not show a title.
Also added a “default” icon for streams that do not have an icon set. It may look familiar to people who’ve been using the site for a long while.

Because a few people asked, the recent reports page shows all reports you’ve submitted, and now just has a pagination menu at the top.
Also, apologies for the lull in site development recently. Life’s kinda affecting all of the site’s active devs at the moment.

User profiles now show statistics about forum posts, including the post count and a ninety day graph, similar to other statistics on the page.
However, due to the fact that we were not recording statistics on daily post counts prior, this graph will show no activity prior to the deploy. Instead, it will just populate moving forward, and will be complete in ninety days from now. This is expected behavior.

Our notifications code has been updated! If your browser behaves, you should see the notification ticker at the top of the page stay in sync across all your tabs and windows, and change everywhere as soon as you load a new page.
This should be of help to all of you who have ever switched between tabs and clicked the Notifications button only to find yourselves staring at an empty page.

Default search
If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization
, wings
, and spread wings
would all be found by a search for wing
, but sewing
would not be.
